Copilot Narrative – Inconsistent Bullet Spacing & Formatting Control

The Copilot Narrative visual in Power BI produces inconsistent bullet spacing within the same narrative.

In many cases, some bullets render with no spacing between them while others introduce extra vertical gaps, even though all bullets appear structurally identical. This inconsistency occurs without any changes to the report, data model, or prompt and appears to be driven by Copilot’s backend formatting rather than the visual itself.

This behavior significantly impacts readability and presentation quality, especially for executive‑facing reports where consistent formatting is critical. Currently, report authors have no control over:

  • Line spacing between bullets
  • Whether bullets are rendered as list items vs paragraph blocks
  • Formatting stability across refreshes or Copilot service updates

  • Hi navneetp  - This is a known limitation of the Copilot Narrative visual, the inconsistent bullet spacing is driven .

There are currently no formatting pane controls for line spacing or list style in the Narrative visual.

    suggest you, in idea forum.

    Hope this helps.
