Converting to shared dataset

I have just learned about the beauty of shared and certified datasets!   However I have reports that are built using 1:1 model, 1 report per 1 dataset, and would like to migrate to a shared dataset...

    OK, one method that you can use is to create the new dataset. Create a blank report for that dataset (Live). Open your old PBIX, copy and paste visuals. Not fun but that should work as long as your data table names, columns and such are the same. 

     

    I have converted many reports to switch data sources using the Advanced Editor in Query Editor. However, I have never tried that method to convert between import and Live.
