Converting from Live connection to Direct Query is changing the Measure formats to default
We have Power BI reports with a live connection to Azure Analysis Services and we want to enhance the model and make it a composite model. To do that we changed the live connection to a direct query. The moment the model is changed to direct query all the measure formatting is set to default. is this the limitation with the direct query to analysis services?

dhwani , There are a few listed in the document
Nothing related to Formatting.
The moment we have calculated groups in the model, All the formating and custom features will be set to default.
I checked with the Product Group and confirmed
