Context of a variable inside a measure

Hello, 

I have a question regarding a calculate function which I have in two different variations:

Test=
SUMX (
DISTINCT ( Orders[Number] ),
IF (
CONTAINS ( Filtered, Filtered[Category], "8888" ),
CALCULATE ( MAX (Filtered[Amount] )))

VS

Test2=
Var _filtered =
CALCULATE ( MAX (Filtered[Amount] )
return

SUMX (
DISTINCT ( Orders[Number] ),
IF (
CONTAINS ( Filtered, Filtered[Category], "8888" ),
_filtered))

Why do I get different outcomes, when having the Calculate function inside the sumx and in the second one in a 

variable first? Does context transition also plays a role inside a measure?

@Applicable88 when the value is stored in a variable, filter context is not applied to it when you are using it in SUMX.
