Hello

Our organisation is trying to create a content pack template but are unable to do so as we keeping a generic error when creating the template. We have followed the initial steps via the admin portal of enabling the content pack features etc but as stated it throws an error.

An example of the error message:

We are using SSAS as our tabular data model and also have Power BI Pro. Could it be that you cannot create template packs if your data is within SSAS?

Thank you

      Hi Simon

Thanks for picking this up and for your reply

When you say you are able to create content pack with SSAS tabular data is that because the data has been imported or it is a link to the SSAS tabular data. Also I'm assuming you are referring to a template as your reply just mentioned content pack and not content pack template. But thought I'd check anyways

      Regards

      Ali.

        Hello Ali,

SSAS requires live query connection, Template apps don't yet support it.

Please check out how to create a template app and known limitation.

We will update as soon as we extend support to live query.

        Thanks for building!

        Teddy
