Hi community,
I'd like to put forward a connection problem when trying to connect to a "Cloud PostgreSQL database" in my power query desktop file.
I proceed to describe the scenario, hopping you could provide any insights.
Scenario:
Now, I'm unable of execute any refresh or stablish a connction with my credentals.
The fun fact, is that those very same credentials used in a Power Bi "dataflow" works sucessfully; I don't understand how "Cloud Power Query" allows this scenario and "Local Power Query" not.
Do you know what can be done to fix my problem, and be able to connect via desktop file?
Important note: I don't need to use a "gateaway" since the Adobe Expierence Platform of Adobe, provides a cloud PostgreSQL database

Hi @v-karpurapud ,
Thanks for the follow up.
The issue has not been resolved.
As suggested in past threads, I made the next actions trying to fix it:
I continue with a workaround for this issue (use Dataflow instead "local Power Query").
But I think that i'll need to contact the Adobe team support to address this issue.
Thanks,
Miguel

How to Get Your Question Answered Quickly

Hi @Miguel_Rojo
It sounds like a network or authentication issue specific to Power BI Desktop rather than a credentials problem. Here are steps to troubleshoot and fix it:
Try connecting using Advanced Options in Power Query:Host=full.server.name.com;Port=80;Database=AEP_prod;Username=UsernameExample;Password=YourPassword;SSL Mode=Require;
If none of these steps work, check with your Cloud PostgreSQL admin if there have been any security changes or IP restrictions applied recently.
If this post helps, please consider accepting it as the solution to help the other members find it more quickly.
Appreciate your Kudos!!
