Connecting to Dataset in Power BI Service

Hi!

I am trying to connect to a Power BI semantic model published in PBI Service.

The workspace this model was published to was created by me, using the same account i am using in PBI Desktop.

I have a Pro licence, and the workspace's licence is also Pro.

However, when i try to connect the semantic models in PBI Desktop, my OpenLake data hub appears empty. This is file is not the only one that should appearing.

Hi  @Traik ,

You can check if you don't have the corresponding permissions in the workspace report.

If both companies belong to the same tenant, you can go to the manage permissions section of the corresponding semantic modek to add user

Manage semantic model access permissions - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

Share access to a semantic model - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

If the two companies do not belong to the same tenant, you can turn your account into a guster user using scheduled invitations, pull it into the workspace, and then add the user in the manage permissions section of the workspace to view the report.

Distribute content to external guest users with Microsoft Entra B2B - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

I am.
I identified the problem as me having created on another company's fabric.
Now that i created a new workspace on my company's fabric it is working.

Now i just need to figure out how to help the other company allow me access 😅.

@Traik , do you need any helo from us or your situation should be solved from your side.
