Hi,
I'm trying to connect to Business Central with Power BI Desktop. After setting it up, it attempts to load, but I get the "Current connection intent is Read-Only." error. The full error is:
If I try to connect to the same instance of Business Central, to the same table, I am able to connect. And I can access the data. I log in with the same credentials.
I was wondering what could cause this error? With Power BI Desktop, I only need to read and display data, but the message seems to indicate I need write access as well.

Hi @jasonyeung87 ,
According to your screenshot, this seems to be a warning rather than an error. The connection between Business Central and Desktop is read-only, which prevents you from modifying the data in the data source.. In addition, Power BI itself does not support direct modification of data in a data source. The warning will not affect your ability to view the data, and if you want to dismiss this warning, you can refer to the methods in this document. HI @Anonymous , thanks for your help! I added the parameter stated in the document and I was able to download the data from Business Central.
