Connecting power bi to databricks
1. Uninstalled MS PBI through MS Store
2. Installed August 2024 version 2.132.1053.0: Download Microsoft Power BI Desktop from Official Microsoft Download Center
Resolved the issue.
I have 2.6.29.1049 Simba Spark OBDC Driver and didn't reinstall any OBDC related drivers. This worked to 3 people including me so farI think I got it working - I uninstalled PowerBI Desktop and then installed the July version from this link:

This is a issue, the Engineers are working on this, and if you installed Desktop from Microsoft Store, you may consider re-downloading Desktop from the website and installing it before trying to connect to the data source.

Advocate ILooks like the issue is fixed now and only affects Power BI Desktop installed from Microsoft Store. I've managed to fix mine by uninstalling Power BI and reinstalling it again. If it doesn't work, in MS Store, click on Library and then Get Updates. This will force update on Power BI.
Confirmed! Running update from the MS store fixed the issue.
