Connecting PowerBi to SAP HANA Database
Hello Everyone , I was wondering if i can connect the PowerBI Directly to the SAP from my understanding i can do that using the SAP HANA Database connection however after i follow the instruction and install the SAP HANA client still after i open the sap and try to connect it give me this :
So am i doing something wrong or there is somehting missing that i need to download , would appreciate any help i can get , thank you

Hi there,
For direct SAP HANA connectivity, Power BI requires the SAP HANA ODBC driver, typically installed with the SAP HANA Client.
If your goal is to analyze S/4HANA business data rather than use HANA SQL or Calculation Views directly, you may also evaluate Power BI Connector for SAP:
It uses SAP OData services and provides Power BI with an OData endpoint, without requiring direct HANA database access or local HANA ODBC.
