Connecting PowerBI via Impala connector

I am trying to connect to a Cloudera Database.  I can connect succesfully through the ODBC connector via PowerBI.  I select my ODBC (Clouder Impala Driver) and I can see the tables, load data, etc. However, I want to connect through the Impala connector instead, but I receive the following error after entering my credentials:

"Unable to Connect.  Details ODBC: Error [HY000] [Microsoft][DriverSupport](1170) Unexpected response received from server.  Please ensure the server host and port specified for the connection are correct."

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi @jasongkelly ,

Does the authentication type of credential are same when using two connector? We think maybe the implement way of the cloudera ODBC Driver and build-in impala ODBC Driver(can be found in the installation folder) are different, , have you tried spcific port when connect by build-in impala connector?

It says it has been solved, but the comments here don't appear to be solutions? I am having the same error message, and I'm wondering if there are other ways to access my Impala database. I don't see anywhere to enter port or http path. How did the OP resolve their issue?

Connect to an Impala database
Select Get Data from the Home ribbon in Power BI Desktop.
Select Database from the categories on the left.
In the Impala window that appears, type or paste the name of your Impala server into the box.
When prompted, enter your credentials or connect anonymously.

Correct, those are the steps I am following before I receive the error
