Connecting Power Bi to SAP HANA Database

 Dear experts,

I am trying to connect MS Power Bi to SAP Hana. Now the problem is that to create the connection I am being asked for credentials to the database as you can see from the screenshot below

 

My problem is that I don't know what credentials are needed.

should this be:

1) credentials of user created on the OS where the database is installed ( an operating system user so to speak)?

2) credentials of a database user? And if so what tables should this user be able to see?

3) something else entierly that I might be missing?

    Hi Anonymous ,

     

    The SAP HANA server requires database user credentials, so select Database and enter your user name and password. If necessary, enter your server certificate information.

     

    Also, you may need to validate the server certificate. For more information about using validate server certificate selections, see Using SAP HANA encryption.
