Connecting Power BI with API

Hi,

Am new to Power BI, Here in my case I am having my own API key, I have searched lots of methods but it gets failure. Please guide/instruct me how to connect Power BI with API, step by step process from beginning.

    Please post a link to the documentation of that API method here (type of http request, link, headers, body etc.)

      Hi Ruslan,

      I am new to API Connection with Power BI. Here is the Documentation Link - http://www.datamedia.org//. I have an API Key but I don't know how to generate Session Key and how to request Data.

        Hi Sowmiya,

         

        Please try below approach:

         

        1. Go to Get Data -> From Web and enter https://server/GetSessionToken (replace server with actual server name). Press OK.

        2.  You will see a window with authorization types, choose Web API

        3.  Enter your API Key into the text field and select full HTTP request from a dropdown list like below:

        4. Press Connect.
