Hi,
I'm trying to connect Power BI to HDInsight.
I can connect using HDInsight admin user.
Is there a way to connect using Azure application registration or Azure active directory user?
I'm asking this for security purposes.
Thanks,
Nir
Hi @Shapiran ,
Currently, I didn't find any related articles in this regard. And I have no account of HDInsight, so I can't test for you. I speculate it cannot. Not sure.
Hope @Greg_Deckler , @amitchandak could help you.
Best Regards,
Icey

I'm connecting using Azure HDInsight Spark connector but can also use ODBC (Microsoft Hive ODBC Driver).
I'm using an import option.
Thanks
HDInsight without Enterprise Security Package (ESP) only support "ADMIN" account from my knowledge.
if you want to use other users you need to implement the ESP.
Another discussion but from HDInsight POV, How to create a new user for HDinsight
