Connect to Power BI Dataset - missing measures

Hi all,
we have a basis dataset. This is a Power BI Dataset containing a live connection to SSAS, which is enhanced with some additional measures.
When we now want to connect us with Power BI to this dataset, we are missing all of the measures which we added. We only have the measures which are already included in the SSAS, but the additional measures in the dataset are missing.

Is this a bug? Or is there a trick how I can connect to this dataset and see also the measures?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @VerenaS ,

//We have a basic dataset. This is a Power BI Dataset containing a live connection to SSAS, which is enhanced with some additional measures.

The measures created in this case are report-level measures, they are not in the model, but are stored in PBIX files. Therefore, they cannot be discovered when you connect to the dataset, they appear in the query in the background.

So, you need to go to the previous PBIX file and look for these measures.

Hope this helps.

Dear @Anonymous ,

thanks for your reply! That is a bit disappointing that it is not possible. But I understand the reason behind it.
