Connect relationship many-to-one

Im trying to connect 2 tables with a many-to-one relationship but when I choose column that should be considered primary, Power BI sends me this error message:
"the selected column can't be the key column because it contains duplicate values. Choose a column that has unique values in every field." I have double checked and there are no duplicates. What can I do?
