Connect Report Builder to Databricks (direct; not via dataset)

Hi dear experts,

is it still not possible to directly connect Report Builder to Databricks?
Is it still the best practice to connect with Desktop, then create my dataset there, upload to service and then connect with report Builder to this dataset? No other way?

Found it.
Its possible with the local installation of SIMBA SPARK ODBC driver.

> we needed to create a token in Databricks to establish a successful connection
