Hi
I've been struggling in my attempts to get information from both my Payroll and Payroll Transactions tables to slice by using slicers from the PayCodesTable and DeptTable. More specifically I'd like to be able to slice both of these tables by using the DateTable, DeptCode and pay_code.
Is there any way I can configure these relationships to achieve this.
Thanks
Relations
Hi Spencer,
did you try to change the cross filter direction of the relationship between Payroll and Payroll Transaction tables to Both?
Cheers, Luis
Hi Spencer,
You can double click on any relationships arrows and configure the relationships as per your needs.
More information on types of relationships can be found in here.
Alternatively, This Blog by SQLBI will give you indepth knowledge of relationships in PBI and DAX.
Thanks & Regards,
Bhavesh
Thanks for the links to those resources.
I'm still struggling however to get both my Payroll and Payroll transaction tables to slice by the DeptCode.
I've tried many different relationship structures and cross filter directions but still can't get it to slice correctly.
Thanks
Hi Spencer,
Happy to look further deep into the issue. Please post the sample file and your requirements.
Thanks & Regards,
Bhavesh
