Hello,
I am planning to deploy the Power BI Desktop client in our enterprise. I would like to pre-configure some settings, like disable automatic updates (we have a manged environment, where users aere no local admin) .
To my big surprise i noticed that user sttings are stored in a ZIP file.
"C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Power BI Desktop\User.zip"
This is quite an unusual way for saving application settings, we would expect this being stored in the registry, or at least in a plain file, but certainly not in a ZIP file. Please onsider making Power BI Desktop Group Poliy aware or allow saving user configuration settings in a file or registry.
Thanks
Alex
