Conditional formatting - problem with icons set

Hello,

This is my first report with Power BI so bear with me 😉

I try to replicate a view from an Excel file (see below) in Power BI.

In the original file, there are multiple lines for one project and therefore the Count function in PBI is not appropriate.

After using the Conditional formatting, there is a mismatch between the project phase and the icon (somes lines are empty - no icon) but there is also a mismatch between what should be displayed and the icon (see Project D icon in attachment 2).

There is no formula related to the Phase column, I just like to translate data into icons.

I am looking for suggestion(s) to solve the issue.

Thanks in advance !

    Hi lferrier ,

    Icon names used in DAX is listed in the blog, you could kindly refer to: Power BI Icon Names for Conditional Formatting Using DAX - RADACAD

    So Assume you want to set a icon based on conditional formatting for a Sum value of each Project, please try:

    Measure =
    VAR _phase =
        CALCULATE (
            SUM ( 'Table'[Phase] ),
            ALLEXCEPT ( 'Table', 'Table'[Project Name] )
        )
    RETURN
        SWITCH (
            _phase,
            0, "CircleEmpty",
            1, "Circle25",
            2, "CircleHalf",
            3, "Circle75",
            4, "CircleFilled"
        )

    Output:

  • Hello Eyelyn9,

    Thank you for your help.

    I haven't found the time to try the formula yet. I will keep you posted.
