Conditional formatting not showing for collapsible matrix
I created an expandable/ collapsible matrix with 4 levels. I am trying to apply a simple conditional formatting so past months' values would be colored green. However I am unable to make this work. May I know if conditional formatting is not allowed for expandable/ collapsible matrices?
hello zhona9
conditional formating is allowed in matrix visual,
there might be some restrictions on conditional formating in matrix, is this conditional formating similar to what your are looking for?
Thank you.

Oh I think I know what is up. The conditional formatting is applied to the very last level only is it? I thought that it would apply to all the level, including the collapsed fields. So it is my misunderstanding. Thanks!

hi zhona9
Conditional formatting is supported on collapsible matrix. You might be missing something. Please provide a workable sample data (not an image), your expected result from the same sample data and your reasoning behind. You may post a link to Excel or a sanitized copy of your PBIX stored in the cloud.

Hmm, I don't see the option to add the Excel or Pbix file I created. Should I email you?

This is what the matrix contains:
The below shows the table, I masked out the values. So for example I want the values in the columns Jul 2025 and Aug 2025 to have background color blue (see blue box).
Looking at your post, is it because my date is in column and not in row, that the conditional formatting couldn't work?
