Conditional formatting doesn't work in table with only one column

Hi, as you can see from the following image, the conditional formatting doesnt work in a table with only one column.

In the first table, with two columns, the field Effort variance is red. If I remove the first column, the conditional formatting doesn't works anymore even if the settings are the same
