Conditional formatting background disappears when expanding hierarchy?

Hi!

I use conditional formatting background with a rule (based on a column value) in a matrix with a hierarchy and - when expanding the hierarchy the background formatting disappears and is overridden/replaced by bold rows. I would like the formatting to stay in place even when expanding the hierarchy.

Is this possible to control? (see pictures below)
