Conditional formating of hierached rows in matrix

Hi everyone!

I have an issue to solve, please help me!

If there is some kind of visual or practice for conditional formating a hierarchical presented table.

The basic table visual gives you the opportunity to format the rows by data... but not hierarchical...

The basic matrix visual gives you the opportunity to present the hierarchy but you can only format the value columns...

I would mix it and i would like to format the datas and the rows of it too...

It is a payment and technical comletition issue...

All the completition datas are coming from other databases, and are dates... the completition of all preconditions are not equal too complete the TMS.

So i would like to format only by the values...

like this:

hierarchCompletition
TMSTMSPMS
PMS1    no
PMS1TMS 1  yes
PMS1TMS 1Precondition 1yes
PMS1TMS 1Precondition 2yes
PMS1TMS 1Precondition 3yes
PMS1TMS 2  no
PMS1TMS 2Precondition 1yes
PMS1TMS 2Precondition 2no
PMS2    no
PMS2TMS 3  no
PMS2TMS 3Precondition 1no
PMS2TMS 3Precondition 2yes
PMS2TMS 3Precondition 3no
PMS2TMS 4  yes
PMS2TMS 4Precondition 1yes
PMS2TMS 4Precondition 2yes
PMS2TMS 5  no
PMS2TMS 5Precondition 1no
PMS2TMS 5Precondition 2no
PMS2TMS 5Precondition 3yes

Thank you if you have some solution or proven visual... the best would be a free visual...

Thx!

Hi @AtomChewacka,

There is currently no built-in Power BI visual that supports both true hierarchical rows and conditional formatting on those row headers within the same visual.
This is a known limitation in the Power BI ecosystem and and honestly, a popular feature request is required.

I suggest submitting your detailed feedback and ideas through Microsoft's official feedback channels, such as Microsoft Fabric Ideas. Feedback submitted through these channels is frequently reviewed by the product teams and can contribute to meaningful improvements.

Hi @AtomChewacka,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.

The default Matrix visual in Power BI supports hierarchies well, but conditional formatting is limited to value fields, not row headers.
On the other hand, the Table visual allows row-level formatting but doesn’t support hierarchical structures.

If this post helps, then please consider Accepting as solution to help the other members find it more quickly, don't forget to give a "Kudos" – I’d truly appreciate it!

Dear @v-vpabbu !

I don't want to be rude, but yes, thats why i asked if somebody has already seen a visual like this... built in or downloaded or anything else... maybe writen and coded by someone in a "Deneb" visual...

I think the problem is already known since a long time, and if there is still no solution, my feedback won't help.. but ok thank you for the recommendation, i will try it.
