All,
I'm looking for a solution to a problem I have. I have CRM data and the end user would like an average age of the opportunity. All have a "Created On" date, some have a "Close Date" but obviously if the opportunity is still open, it won't have a close date, so I'm getting a null value in a conditional column I have set up. if actualclosedate equals null, then use createdon elseif actualclosedate does not equal null then actualclosedate; this gets a value in to avgAgeInit column, the conditional column. I want to use that column to generate the average age in days. The calculation for the open opportunities needs to be createdon date minus today's date. I hope this makes sense. I will try to clarify if anyone needs additional clarification.
Age = COALESCE([Close Date],TODAY())-[Create Date]
