Conditional Formatting window completely gray

Hello everybody,

I have a problem in Power BI Desktop (the latest version) with the conditional formatting windows.

I click “Format your visual” on “Visualizations” right panel, then I select any of the categories (e.g. Gridlines, Columns, etc.), and then I click on the FX button.

The first time I do this, the relevant Conditional Formatting window appears regularly, and I can do any formatting.

The second time I try to use the Conditional formatting again (FX button), the formatting window appears, but it is completely gray.

If I move the mouse over the window, I can see the mouse pointer turn into a “hand” when it passes over the clickable parts.

Unfortunately, however, the formatting window is completely gray, and therefore I can not do anything.

If I close and restart Power BI, the same thing always happens, that is, I can only use conditional formatting the first time, while from the second time on the formatting window is completely gray.

Please help me 😭

Hi @Anonymous ,

Thanks for your interest.

The Data Source was a very normal Excel spreadsheet.

However, these days I have tried to uninstall various programs from my computer and to turn some Windows features off and on again, and I don't know how, but now it seems to work fine.

My guess is that somehow the functionalities related to the .NET service have to do with it.

However, the important thing is that it works regularly now.

Best regards

Hi @Godai ,

What data source you are using? Can you provide some screenshots?

Best Regards,

Jay
