I have BW data landing in a Table. I was able to create conditional formatting (rules based)..
couple things I noticed.. the percentage/number switch does not always stick. the first/last rule in a series does not hold on to the word Min and Max respecitively. I created a 5 levels of rules.. Min to -5, -5 to 0, 0 to 5, 5 to 10, 10 to Max. I created this.. and it worked. I then went back in to review and noticed the first rule was 0% to -5 and the last rule was 10 to 100%. I changed it back.. and the rules fail to work. all data was set to the middle rule (0-5) even though its not true..and different from when the rules were initially created and applied.
I removed the rules.. and rebuilt.. and it worked.. until I went to review. then same thing happened.
I cannot wait for Excel type rules engine.. and have it be applied to the CELL VALUE not a specific measure. I have to build these rules for every measure separaretly.. right?
thanks
james
