Conditional Formatting Using Icons : how to add an explaination ?

I have a table with marketshares

 

I added a conditional formatting with icons based on the markershares results

 

I want to add an explaination somehow. Either :

  • when the user put his pointer above the icons, he has a short text explaining the why of this symbol => is it possible and how ?
  • create a text box next to the table with information like : icon 1 : MS between XX% and XX%, icon 2 : MS between YY% and YY%... and so on. Problem : I don't know how to put the Icons (for ex the red flag) into a text box

     

    Any idea on how I can do that ?

  • Hi Arkhos94 ,

     

    It is kind of a workaround but it works for me. Create a new table with the explanations you would like to show:

    Put the "explanation" column in your table and set a conditional formatting on the "Icon" column. 

    Now when you have the pointer above the icon it will show the explanation:
