I have a column in my table that defines how many delimeters to skip when extracting text before a delimeter from another column. If the delimeter skip column value is 2, I want to skip 2 of the delimeters. If it's 3, I want to skip 3 delimeters (those are the only 2 values in the delimeter skip column). What does the M language to create that conditional column look like? Something like "if [Project Code Site Level] = 2 then Text.BeforeDelimeter([Project Code], ".",2) else Text.BeforeDelimeter([Project Code], ".",2).
Solved! Go to Solution.
Text.BeforeDelimiter([Project Code], ".",[Project Code Site Level])
Text.BeforeDelimiter([Project Code], ".",[Project Code Site Level])
Worked perfectly, thank you.
