Condition index column in power query editor but with diffrent maximum # values

hello guys i need to create the index column from the power query editor, using dax columns and measures for this causes the error Not enough memory to complete this operation because monthly data will reach hundred thousands of rows..

the index is based on brand name but should reset to 1 if maximum # is reached

also if maximum# is zero or null then the index should skip it

thanks, with the video tutorial i am able to create a sub index column

but how do i repeat the indexing based on the maximum value? example if max is 4 then index is 1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4

I have the same problem, it would be nice, if someone could help out. How can you setup a maximum value for your index? I don´t understand, how sub index column helps with this topic.
