Hi all,
I'm recreating a report (due to some issues with composite models), and I can't get the axis of the new chart to display labels like the old one did. In pic 1,the axis has dates listed a couple times a year, while in pic 2, it displays every date as its own label.
The source tables are identical (copied the Advanced Editor text), as well as field datatypes, etc.

Hi @RMDNA
As tested, when the data type of this column is set to be text, it is not possible to find Type "categorical or continuous" under X-Axis.
Please set the data type to "date" type.
Best Regards
Maggie

In your X-Axis card in the Format pane, switch to Continuous instead of Categorical
Sorry, should have included this in my OP - that was my first thought, but I'm not seeing it in my x-axis options. I'm using the most recent Power BI Desktop x64 release.
Are you sure that your column is set to Date or Date/Time and not Text?
