Could someone help me to understand how the logic work for the following:
Client insists to have a custom date slider and also a Week on Week metric for one of the KPI.
If they select Data range of let's say 8 week, how does the WoW metric would behave?
Example:
Data range selected: 8th April to 9th June. Will WoW be 1st April to 2nd June? Or something else?

Hi @mazwro
If you select the date range then you wow will be starting from same week.
for ex:
i have selected 9th April to 9th June
so my wow calculation will be based on my date range selection not complete week data.
as you can see my week starts from 8th April but data is suming up from 9th to 14th april.
My week starts from Monday to Sun pattern.
now if I change my date range to 8th April then
this number is adding up for complete week.
I hope you understood the logic now.
for presentation it will show you week1 week2 week 3 and so on. but the actual number is based on date range selected data. if your are selecting 3 days in week 1. then sum will be based on 3 days value. not complete week total.
I hope I answered your question!
Hi @mazwro ,
When calculating a Week on Week (WoW) metric, you're comparing the performance of a KPI from one week to the previous week.
WoW Calculation: For each week within this range, you compare it to the previous week.
So, if you want to calculate the WoW metric for the week of 8th April to 14th April, you would compare it to the week of 1st April to 7th April.
Similarly, for the week of 15th April to 21st April, you would compare it to the week of 8th April to 14th April, and so on.

WoW comparison will be based on:
Current Week: Data from 2nd June to 9th June.
Previous Week: Data from 26th May to 1st June.
