Hi All,
I've self funded and comfortably passed the Microsoft Power BI certification exam (70-778) but I'm very dissapointed that my programming is still very poor in practice. When I get ad hoc requests for analysis I'm still getting stuck and can't reliably complete analysis within a reasonable time, say a 24hr turnaround. Please do you know of any comprehensive resources for teaching and testing coding in DAX and designing database relationships? (e.g. I'm still getting tripped up knowing when to use bi-directional filters, constituent rows in tables not adding up to subtotals, ratios in subtotal lines not reconciling with the consitutent rows, some data records unexpectedly not appearing in visualisations etc etc).
Thanks for any help!
CM

Hi @CloudMonkey ,
I think it is very hard to find a full comprehensive free DAX Training course, but we can find some courses of some part of DAX from some video website like Youtube, you wan find them based on your requirement. Basides, we can follow the PowerBI document step by step.
For instance, Bidirectional cross-filtering using DirectQuery in Power BI Desktop: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-bidirectional-filtering
To go deeper into PowerBI DAX, I would share a fantastic book to you: The Definitive Guide to DAX
Best Regards,
Teige

Brilliant thanks @TeigeGao I bought the definitive guide to DAX on your advice, very impressive. Would be great if microsoft created an exam around it's contents.
Many thanks,
