Hi
I am quite new in Power BI, but i am trying to setup a dashboard which can compare data based on a unique ID and a date which the data has been populated to the source.
I want to create a table, where i am able to compare the data from two selected dates, if there are data which has changed between the dates, then this should be highlighted with a conditional formatting if possible based on a true false value in another column.
Element ID | Room Number | Room Name (New) | Room Name (Old) | Room Name Similar |
Ending up with a structure as this in the table:
Currently my data is structured as below:
Publish Date | Element ID | Room Number | Room Name |
17-05-2023 | 1 | 101 | Stue |
17-05-2023 | 2 | 102 | WC |
17-05-2023 | 3 | 103 | Køkken |
17-05-2023 | 4 | 104 | Bad |
17-05-2023 | 5 | 105 | Værelse |
20-05-2023 | 1 | 101 | Stue |
20-05-2023 | 2 | 102 | WC |
20-05-2023 | 3 | 103 | Køkken |
20-05-2023 | 4 | 104 | WC |
Have tried a few different methods, creating two sources filtering based on this - and then creating a meassure, but nothing have really done the trick.
@WATP , for that you have to create one/two independent date tables for the slicer and then use max room name as a measure and follow the approach
How to use two Date/Period slicers https://youtu.be/WSeZr_-MiTg
Thanks a lot, that i didnt manage to succed using the video you linked, but found this one suggested from the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40AZos5hjko&ab_channel=BASensei
That did give me the difference in quantities, however i would still like to compare the Room Name and Number between the two dates to identify if names have changed.
Do you have any proposed solution for this?
