Comparing current month to first month in year

Hello,

Looking for some expert help.

I have data from every month of the year, each month has a 'total estate' number. I would like to (using the KPI card) show the current selected months total estate and in the target show the first month of the years total estate. I've seen many posts on current vs previous month but can't see any solutions to this.

Thank you in advance 🙂

Selected monthyear value: =
SUM( Data[Value] )

Selected year's january value: =
VAR _selectedyear =
    YEAR ( MAX ( 'Calendar'[Date] ) )
RETURN
    CALCULATE (
        [Selected monthyear value:],
        FILTER (
            ALL ( 'Calendar' ),
            'Calendar'[Year] = _selectedyear
                && MONTH ( 'Calendar'[Date] ) = 1
        )
    )

Hi @Anonymous

Suppose you have a column with number for each month in calendar table so 1 is the first month Jan in this case use the below measure and i am assuming that you have a year slicer for single selection

Measure = Calculate ( Sum(Value), monthnumber=1)
