Exams like the PL-900 often mention the differences between Power BI Desktop and the Power BI service, but I'd like to mention one topic that even MSLearn doesn't cover.

Power BI Desktop is good because you can easily edit it for yourself, such as adding columns to the table later, adding calculated columns, converting with Power Query, etc. On the other hand, the Power BI service allows you to share completed reports with other members, create dashboards, and although it costs money, it's good to be able to visualize it.
For Power BI Desktop; Relationships can be managed, and relationships are automatically established when importing Excel data
For Power BI service; I created a dataset to import Excel, but there is no item that seems to manage relationships.
When I asked Microsoft about this difference, the answer was, "The ability to set relationships in the Power BI service has not been implemented."
