Comparing Income Between 2 Periods

Hey everyone, new to power BI and was just wondering if someone could help me with something.

I am querying some data of our Database via SQL connection, and its looking at live data (DirectQurey:Enabled)

What i am trying to do is create a bar graph, that would compare income between 2 periods. And it would be a daily breakdown

Example compare the income between  1st January - 15th February 2016 with the income from today till next month

So 1st January 2016 and today would be day 1, and then 2nd January 2016 and tomorrow would be day 2. and so on

Hope this makes sense and is this possible?

Could you post your table structures with some sample data and your expected result, so that we can better assist on this issue?
