Compare period performance based on filter selection

Hi there,

 

I'm trying to compare period performance of milestones achieved - using a filter to select the periods i want to review - there will only ever be two periods of review and ideally this will be current month vs filter selection.

 

Below is an example of my data. 

 

For example with Reporting Period 2019-01 and 2019-2 selected the graphic will show Jan-19 as -1 and Feb-19 as +1 becasue in 2019-01 three milestones were to be acheived in Jan-19 however in 2019-02 the forecast is two in Jan-19 and one in Feb-19.

 

This variance and movement will then be shown on a bar chart. Period on X axis and movement on the Y.

    From your description, I could not understand your logic about below word:

    If all reporting period is same with Date, it will be -1? And only one reporting period (2019-02,Z,Z-1,Contract sign,2019/2/1) is same with Date will show +1?
