Comma seperator COUNT issue

Hello 

 

I am using the Matrix card to count the number of records. 

 

The formating is not very readable eg. 123456789 i want it to be comma seperated 123,456,789

 

I have tried the formating on the data tab. But it doesnt work 

Spaces would even be better than all the numbers next to each other.

Not sure why the comma format is not working. Is the measure/column text?
