Comma for Thousands separator in Card

I could swear I have this formatted correctly but I can't get it to work.  Any ideas?

Hello, two thing to check:

1. Select column and go to Column tools>> Formatting >> Whole Number & Comma
2. Select card, and go to formatting >> Data Label >> Display units as Auto

Even better would be create a measure for count of active clients.

// if this is a solution please mark as such. Kudos always appreciated.

@Anonymous

Looks fine in my test, did you try with other datasource or other pbix? And try create a measure see if same issue occurs with measure.

@samdthompson Ok, but what about formatting the card when the number on it is not a measure or numerical data in a column, but is simply formatted as "Count of" text values from another column? There is no option to add thousands separator in that case, isn't it? That's what I'm struggling with right now.

I had the same problem and your first solution dd the trick. Thanks!
