Combo Chart Broken

I noticed about a month or 2 ago that most of my combo charts (line and clustered column chart) weren't displaying how I orginally set them up. I have tried to look for others talking about this with no dice. Below are the 2 issues that have jumpped out to me so far.

1. You can no longer show a second column value while also showing a line value. It still allows you to add a second value for columns and will show that second value but when you add a line value the visual only shows the first column value and removes all others. It does however still allow mulitple line values to be shown with 1 column value.

2. Adding conditional formatting to the column value removes the line value from the visual.

I did notice that there is a relatively new feature called "zoom slide" and I'm wondering if this added feature is the root cause of this visual not working as it did before. Has anyone figured out a solution for this or potentially know of another custom visual that I can use?

Hi, @dblain

According to your description and sample picture, it seems like the line value disappeared after you set the conditional format for the chart. You can try to place the column [Goal] or [Actual + TS] into the “Tooltips” of the Combo Chart and find if the line value can display.

If this method can’t help you to solve this problem, I suggest you to post the sample pbix file with broken charts(without sensitive data) and I will check and find out if it’s an issue with the Power BI desktop.

@dblain , There no big change that came recently that can remove features. Conditional formatting is only available when you use only one measure.

Can you share some screenhots

@amitchandak , I was able to figure out a workaround for #1, but still having the same issues with #2. I will add some context and screenshots.

1. Here is how I got this chart to work correctly

      -Add a measure to tooltips

-toggled the from report page to default and back to defult in the tooltip settings

-Moved one of my column values to line value, the line value to column, and then flip them back

2. Still unable to get the desired outcome. What I had prior to this issue was the first screenshot but with the columns conditionally formatted like the 3rd screenshotPrior to formattingPrior to formatting
