Combining different charts into one
I've been asked to recreate a visual my team has in Tableau or find an alternate way of depicting the same data in one visual.
The Tableau visual is a combination chart with 3 sections. The first is table (category, decription, project ID), followed by a stacked horizontal bar chart that depicts the projected and actual budget, and another chart with markers depicting the start/end dates. This is all ONE chart in Tableau.
I can't find anything in PowerBi that would support this.
I found a tutorial (www.tutorialgateway.org/add-data-bars-to-table-in-power-bi/. It's not exactly what I need, but I may be able to leverage it for 2 of the 3 parts... but not sure what I would do about the start/end dates.
I can't just overlay two different charts next to each other because the number of entries may differ based on some filter selections and I read that PowerBI doesn't currenlty support syncronized scrolling.
Any creative ideas out there?

There are a couple of options, you can check the APPSource to check if there is a custom visual already created:
https://appsource.microsoft.com/en-us/marketplace/apps?product=power-bi-visuals
Another option is to use the Charticulator to create your own chart:
https://charticulator.com/ (this is the link of the page but there is a Custom visual for Power BI Desktop)
Lastly you can try and get the visualization created using R.

Take a look at these two Quick Measures as probably want something like them.
