Combining data from folder to original data source

Hi,

I'm having some difficulty with my data. I previously made a dashboard using a single data extract. However I'm now wanting to use all of the data in the folder.

Is it possible to get data from the folder and combine it into the original field? to potentially avoid having to recreate measures and columns.

Thanks in advance 🙂

Hi @nautilusben,

Yes, this is possible.

You can change the file connector to the folder connector and set a filter on the extension field to filter the corresponding file types. Then you need to combine/merge result table files that have similar data structures.

Power Query Folder connector - Power Query | Microsoft Docs

Combine files (binaries) in Power BI Desktop - Power BI | Microsoft Docs
