Hi all,
I have another question in my quest to combine data from multiple workspaces.
Scenario:
I have a report created in tenant A, published to our service.
I have a second report created in tenant B, published to the same service. Both reports work fine.
We have a need to combine data from both reports into one report / visual. I was running into problems combing imported data with a LIVE dataset, however this part has been resolved this week.
What I'm running into now, is that combing the data into one visual is working fine on my "build server" use Pbi Desktop, however when the report is pushed to the server, the visual aren't displaying.
In the top of the screen there is a gateway error message:
However linking to a Live dataset shouldn't require a gateway connection correct? the source report being referenced is refreshed via a gateway.
Anyone have any tips to get the visuals to work in the service?
Thanks in advance.
Hi, @PaulusD
May I ask if your problem has been solved?
In these types of errors our suggestion would be to raise a Support Request with Microsoft, so we can perform a more in depth Troubleshooting to understand exactly what is going on with the issue you are currently facing.
You could check the Issues forum here:

And if it is not there, then you could post it.

Thanks @v-angzheng-msft .
I have a pro account, will raise a ticket from the power platform admin center.
Unfortunately i'm on vacation as of this afternoon, so I'll look into this over a few weeks.
All connections that pull data from a source require a gateway (live or import) so if you look at the gateway setup where the live report is working you would see the server that is the target of the live query. You would need to add that source the whatever gateway is supplying your new report.
Hi @jdbuchanan71 ,
I'll take a deeper look into this.
The used sources are being refreshed over different gateway's as well..
Will post if the assigning of a gateway works and is the solution.
Hi @jdbuchanan71 ,
So far i'm unalbe to add the second source to the gateway.
I'm also running into problems again with other reports that re-use datasets the are published in the service (even ones that are published to the same workspace and use the same gateway for the first source).
It's a shame this is throwing so many problems.
Perhaps raising a ticket at MS could help resolve this?
