Combine text from a what-if function with a table column
Tag structure: [parent].[child]
Example" 1.01.10 -> parent=1 and child=01.10
I am trying to create a dynamic tag ID column which combines the user-entered data from a what-if parameter with a fixed column of known child tags. The idea is that the parent tag changes frequently but the child tags remain the same, thus the user must be able to easily change the parent tags.
See below my attempted formulas:
Dyn Tag = 'Custom Parent'[Custom Parent Value] & [Child col]
Dyn Tag = FIXED('Custom Parent'[Custom Parent Value], 0) & [Child col]
Dyn Tag = CONCATENATE('Custom Parent'[Custom Parent Value], [Child col])
Dyn Tag = CONCATENATE(FIXED('Custom Parent'[Custom Parent Value], 0), [Child col])then after making a *:1 single relationship (where the "1" is the what-if) I tried:
Dyn Tag = RELATED('Custom Parent'[Custom Parent Value]) & [Child Col]
Dyn Tag = RELATED(FIXED('Custom Parent'[Custom Parent Value], 0)) & [Child Col]
Dyn Tag = CONCATENATE(RELATED('Custom Parent'[Custom Parent Value]), [Child Col])
Dyn Tag = CONCATENATE(RELATED(FIXED('Custom Parent'[Custom Parent Value], 0)), [Child Col])
Anonymous [Child Col] seems like a measure from the what-if parameter, you cannot combine measure and column, you need to create a measure and then concatenate both values.

Anonymous [Child Col] seems like a measure from the what-if parameter, you cannot combine measure and column, you need to create a measure and then concatenate both values.

Anonymous you can use any aggregation like MAX or MIN
New Text measure = MAX ( YourTable[ColumnName] ) & [Child Col]
