Combine multiple powerbi data source with excel
Hi there,
I am required to combine data from an existing powerbi datasource with an excel document.
I do not have permission to access the underlying data for the powerbi datasource.
When I select Get Data from PowerBi data source the ability to get additional data is greyed out.
Is there a workaround to this? I.e. could I use Get Data > web > link to existing power bi dashboard and get the data that way?
Greatly appreciate any advice!

Please check whether you have connected to one data source with Connect Live mode at the right corner of power bi desktop. When you connect to data source with Connect Live mode, you will see the Data menu is grid and you can just insert some elements like buttons and create measures.
If you want to use Get Data -> Web, you can reconnect the previous data source with Import mode, then you can use it normally

Check the connection setting for Live or Direct Query.
