Combine date, month, and year columns

Hi everyone,

I am a total newbie. We have various reports published for users from the organization. Now, there are some reports that I download into excel from the power bi report, make some minor changes and email those excel files to the people that need them. However, that seems redundant. So, I would like to automate these monthly reports. As I am creating custom reports (all tabular data, no visuals), I am noticing the date in the power bi reports (I use this one report as the source of my report) comes in as different column for date, column for day and column for  year. I would like to create a report where this is just one column (MM-DD-YYYY) as it makes sorting much easier.

Any guidence or if anyone can point me to the right vide/source I would truly appreciate it.

Thanks, Rez

You can simply use the built in DAX function for DATE: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dax/date-function-dax
