Combine/Merge Tables in Power BI

I have two tables that are inter-related; Model Combinations and Project Schedule Task.

Model Combinations consist of the list of individual system models where the information is collected from.

Model Combinations.png

E.g in AWB Model 0001 the Body system information is collected from LCC ID1 V0001. This is the same for AWB Model 0002 and AWB Model 0003. However the intercar connectors system information is collected from three different models; for AWB Model 0001 it is from LCC ID3 V0001, for AWB Model 0002 it is from LCC ID3 V0002 and for AWB Model 0003 it is from LCC ID3 V0003.

Project Scheduled Task consist of all the information for the different LCC models.

Project Schedule Task.png

Note there are thousand of rows in the above table for different system models, not just information related to LCC ID1 V0001.

What i want to achieve is to be able to create a slicer for the different AWB models so that when one AWB model is selected, a separate table only displays information from the relevant Body, Bogie and Intercar Connectors model. E.g When i select AWB Model 0001, it will display Body, Bogie and Intercar Connectors from LCC ID1 V0001, LCC ID2 V0001 and LCC ID3 V0001 respectively. When i selected AWB Model 0001, it will display Body, Bogie and Intercar Connectors from LCC ID1 V0001, LCC ID2 V0001 and LCC ID3 V0002 respectively.

My explanations might not be the best, so apologies if i haven't explained it correctly.

Thanks in advance

Hi @Kevin656

E.g When i select AWB Model 0001, it will display Body, Bogie and Intercar Connectors from LCC ID1 V0001, LCC ID2 V0001 and LCC ID3 V0001 respectively. When i selected AWB Model 0002, it will display Body, Bogie and Intercar Connectors from LCC ID1 V0001, LCC ID2 V0001 and LCC ID3 V0002 respectively.

To achieve above, just add the columns "Body, Bogie and Intercar Connectors" in the Table visual, then add "Model" column in a slicer.

Best Regards

Maggie

Hi @Kevin656

When i select AWB Model 0001, it will display Body, Bogie and Intercar Connectors from LCC ID1 V0001, LCC ID2 V0001 and LCC ID3 V0001respectively.

When i selected AWB Model 0001, it will display Body, Bogie and Intercar Connectors from LCC ID1 V0001, LCC ID2 V0001 and LCC ID3 V0002 respectively.

How do you distinguish the difference between these two selections?

Best Regards

Maggie

Hi Maggie,

Sorry i made a mistake. It should be:

When i select AWB Model 0001, it will display Body, Bogie and Intercar Connectors from LCC ID1 V0001, LCC ID2 V0001 and LCC ID3 V0001respectively.

When i selected AWB Model 0002, it will display Body, Bogie and Intercar Connectors from LCC ID1 V0001, LCC ID2 V0001 and LCC ID3 V0002 respectively.

Regards
