Combine Excel Files in SharePoint Folder - After the fact....
I created a SharePoint folder, filled it up with Excel files (all formatted the same with monthly data) and created a Power BI report.
When I add another file to the folder the Power BI report will not refresh with the new data. I think this is because I did not "Combine and Load" the sheets at the beginning, I just clicked "Edit" and went from there.
Wondering if anyone knows how I can edit the existing query to load all new files added to the folder without doing it from scratch?
Thank you : )

Hi,
I think you should start from the scratch and copy some later steps from the existing query. (Advanced Editor)

Interesting idea... What you are saying is to start at the beginning to take advantage of the the "Combine And Load" but then just copy back all the "Clean and Transform" I did.
I like it.
However i'd LOVE IT if someone can tell me how to fix what I already have just so I can learn how to fix this. It shouldn't be that hard to tell Power Query to load every new file in the folder : )

hi, MrFahrenheit
You could int folder with Power BICombining Excel Files hosted on a SharePoint folder with Power BI
and then copy later steps from the existing query paste into new power query in Advanced Editor.
