Combine 2 Data slicers

Hey there, 

I am looking for a way to combine 2 data slicers so they are not limiting each other but rather interacting in a smooth way. To be specific I have this data slicer: 

It can show last days/weeks/months/years.

What I would like to do is to make the date indicator below clicable by using another date slicer such as this one: 

It's just a normal data slicer w/o a slider.

The final look should be this:

The problem is, whenever I adjust the 'last' slicer it doesn't adjust the date-range slicer. Conversely, the date-range slicer limits the 'last' slicer. Is there any way to show the date from the 'last' slicer in date-range slicer, while interact with the data-range slicer for changing the visuals or did I hit a brick wall?
